The farewell to Dali took place at St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery. Subsequently, the procession proceeded to Independence Square.

Family and comrades-in-arms gathered at the funeral to bid farewell to Maksym.
Maksym Kryvtsov’s funeral is scheduled to be held in his hometown, Rivne, on Friday, January 12.
As a reminder, Maksym Kryvtsov, who passed away at the front on January 7, was 33 years old. His red cat, which shared his dugout, also perished with him.
«Dali» actively participated in the Revolution of Dignity; in 2014, he volunteered to serve in the ATO within the Volunteer Ukrainian Corps «Right Sector.»
From 2016 to 2019, he served in the National Guard, adopting the call sign «Dali.» In an interview with the special project «Words and Bullets» by Chitomo and PEN Ukraine, the soldier explained, «Back then, I grew a mustache to twist it like Salvador Dali. The call sign demanded it, like a top student to the blackboard.»
For a period, Maksym Kryvtsov worked at Veteran Hub. In 2022, he voluntarily returned to the war.
His first collection of poems, «Poems from the Loophole,» was published by Nash Format Publishing House. During Maksym’s lifetime, this collection earned a place in PEN’s list of the best Ukrainian books of 2023.
The band Yurkesh set to music a poem by Maksym Kryvtsov titled «Yellow Scotch.» The song became the soundtrack to the movie «Our Kittens».
