In the temporarily occupied Oleshky in the Kherson region, children from an orphanage are being compelled to write letters of «gratitude» to the Russian soldiers.
This was reported by the National Resistance Center.
«The occupiers are coercing the children of the Oleshky orphanage into composing letters addressed to Russian soldiers. Ostensibly meant to express gratitude for the «gifts» supposedly given by the «soldiers», these letters are part of a disconcerting strategy», – the statement conveyed.
It further notes that, in reality, the gift sets were purchased by the occupation administration. Nevertheless, they were falsely presented as gifts from the soldiers, prompting each child to write a «letter of gratitude» to the occupiers. This manipulative tactic aims to foster a perception among the children that the invaders are «friendly».
According to the NRCU, such measures are a deliberate component of the enemy’s policy, intending to alter the self-identification of Ukrainian children. This alarming strategy is considered one of the signs of genocide.
