Since the commencement of the full-scale war, Russians have employed ammunition containing toxic chemicals against Ukraine on 626 occasions. In January of this year alone, the Defense Forces documented 51 chemical attacks by the occupiers.
This information was reported by the Command of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
There is a growing trend of increased use of chemical weapons by Russians, with up to 10 chemical attacks recorded daily. The primary tools of such attacks include K-51 grenades and RGR grenades dropped from drones.
Moreover, the Russian army utilizes improvised explosive devices equipped with irritant substances. Artillery shells containing chemically hazardous substances are also deployed by the enemy.
A notable incident occurred on December 14, 2023, when the Russians employed a new type of special RG-VO gas grenades containing the chemical CS.
In total, 36 instances of the use of hazardous chemicals were recorded and have been forwarded for investigation.
