Morning shelling in Ukraine on January 23: Current situation in Sumy region
Alyona Yatsyna, co-founder of Kordon.media and correspondent in Sumy, provided an update on Hromadske Radio.
«As of the latest information, there was a strike at 7 am involving 4 Russian missiles. The strikes targeted infrastructure facilities in the city of Shostka. Notably, just 7-10 days prior to this incident, during a previous massive missile attack, Shostka had also been hit. At that time, the city experienced consequences such as 12 thousand apartments left without heating in almost -20°C temperatures at night.
While the issue was eventually resolved, it was not widely discussed in public. Today, another strike occurred, and as of now, no official reports have been released regarding the impact on civilians and overall infrastructure. However, the confirmed fact remains that 4 missiles struck the area».
