Zelensky submits bills to Rada to extend mobilisation and martial law

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has submitted draft laws to the Verkhovna Rada, seeking an extension of martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine for an additional 90 days.

The relevant drafts are now available on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada.

Presently, martial law is set to expire on 14 February. Zelenskyy proposes prolonging both mobilization and martial law until 14 May 2024.

It’s worth noting that martial law was initially declared across Ukraine on 24 February 2022.
