Evacuation planned for hospital and closure of certain schools in Dnipro

Due to the night shelling by Russian troops in Dnipro, Mayor Boris Filatov announced the closure of some educational institutions and the evacuation of one hospital.

«Because of the night shelling, we are evacuating one hospital, draining the heating system, and relocating numerous palliative care patients», — Filatov stated

He explained that certain schools in the city will be closed due to heating issues, anticipating a cold snap in the near future that would challenge the heating system’s maintenance.

«Some civilian infrastructure in Dnipro suffered damage from the Russian Federation’s night shelling. Utilities are actively working to repair the damage. For those in need, there are over 100 invincibility points where you can warm up and recharge gadgets. The addresses of the nearest ones can be found in the Diya app», — Filatov added.

He also appealed to security forces, particularly the Security Service of Ukraine, not to interfere but to assist in overcoming the consequences of the enemy shelling.

As reported, the Russian attack on the night of February 13 led to the cessation of electricity production at one thermal power plant in the Dnipropetrovs’k region, leaving some residents of the regional center without water and electricity.
