Enemy spares no effort to capture Avdiivka — 3rd Brigade press officer

The Russian occupation forces are deploying an unrestrained amount of resources in the Avdiivka sector, showing no shortage of weapons and infantry. This information was conveyed by Oleksandr Borodin, the press officer of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, during an interview on Hromadske Radio.

Borodin emphasized the «extremely difficult» situation in the city due to the adversary’s maximum pressure.

«The pressure is exerted through every available means at Russia’s disposal. While we are in a defensive position, the critical nature of the situation arises from the sheer force of their offensives, the substantial deployment of forces and means, and the tactical dispositions that allow for 360-degree attacks on our military positions», — he stated

Describing the enemy’s tactics, Borodin highlighted tank attacks, infantry assaults, and an array of weaponry, including ‘a significant number of combat aerial bombs (CABs), drones, aviation, and multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

«They are not holding back at all. Previously, in some parts of the frontline, there may have been a lack of resources and funds, but it seems that they are sparing nothing now. Clearly, the political will of their leadership is such that they are prepared to pursue their objectives at any cost», — added the spokesperson.

Earlier, Oleksandr Tarnavsky, the commander of the Tavria operational and strategic grouping of troops, noted that «after many months of confrontation, the command of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) decided to withdraw from the Zenit position on the southeastern outskirts of Avdiivka».
