As a reminder, on the morning of February 12th, the Kyiv Basketball Federation reported that unknown individuals with knives had attacked Ukrainian basketball players in Germany. One of the athletes, 17-year-old Volodymyr Yermakov, succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. It was noted that the boys were attacked because they were Ukrainians. Vladimir Yermakov had previously played basketball in Kyiv and was a member of the Teivaz and 5T.E.A.M.-DUSSH-12 children’s teams. Additionally, he played for the Ukrainian national team at the 2022 European Championships in Bulgaria.
