Over the course of two years in Ukraine, Russia has experienced losses in military forces compared to its initial strength at the beginning of the invasion — British intelligence

Over the two years of the war against Ukraine, Russia has experienced significant losses in personnel and military equipment, equivalent to its initial strength at the beginning of the invasion, according to a report from the British Ministry of Defence.

Intelligence indicates that Russia deployed around 130 battalion tactical groups, comprising about 1,300 tanks, over 5,000 infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), and armored personnel carriers (APCs), along with at least 100,000 personnel for the invasion of Ukraine.

«For two years of conflict, Russian losses match, and in many cases surpass, those of its original force. Confirmed Russian losses include over 2,700 tanks and 5,000 infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers. The number of killed and wounded Russians is estimated to be around 350,000», – states the report.

According to intelligence sources, Russia has managed to offset these losses through mobilization and increased production.

«Russian troops in Ukraine now outnumber their initial force at the beginning of the war. This expanded force enables Russia to sustain attacks along the front line and pursue a strategy of depleting Ukrainian forces», – noted intelligence officers.

As of the morning of February 24, the losses for Russian troops and their mercenaries in Ukraine amounted to approximately 409,010. In the past day alone, Ukrainian defenders neutralized at least 770 Russian occupants.
