On the night of February 25, the air defense forces successfully intercepted and shot down 16 out of the 18 Shahed attack drones deployed by Russian occupiers in their assault on Ukraine.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The hostile act involved the launch of 18 attack drones from two locations – Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia and Cape Chauda in Crimea.
The consequential anti-aircraft battle resulted in the destruction of 16 «Shaheds» across various regions, including Poltava, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson.
The successful defense was executed through the coordinated efforts of mobile firing groups from the Defence Forces, anti-aircraft missile units, and aircraft from the Air Force.
