In Crimea, occupiers have initiated nearly 700 cases related to «discrediting the Russian army»

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, Russian invaders have initiated 699 cases for «discrediting the Russian Armed Forces».

Out of these, 612 cases resulted in a decision to impose an administrative penalty in the form of a fine, as reported by the Permanent Mission of the President in Crimea.

«New illegal administrative proceedings in the occupation courts of Crimea under the article on the so-called «discrediting the Russian Armed Forces» also testify to the growing resistance. As of February 29, 2024, 699 cases of receipt of materials drawn up under Art. 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation by the so-called «courts» in the temporarily occupied Crimea and other competent authorities have been recorded», – the statement said.

It is noted that in 612 cases, a decision was made to impose an administrative penalty in the form of a fine or to join another case under another article and a cumulative decision was made. In 11 cases, the materials are still being considered.
