On the night of March 6, Russian invaders launched an attack on Ukraine using five S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles and 42 Shahed attack UAVs.
The Ukrainian defense forces successfully intercepted and shot down 38 occupiers’ attack drones, as reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
The combat operations resulted in the downing of 38 Shahed drones within the regions of Dnipro, Odesa, Kherson, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, and Sumy, according to the official statement.
The occupiers launched missiles from the occupied territories in Donetsk region and deployed UAVs from four directions: Chauda and Balaklava in the temporarily occupied Crimea, Kursk region of the Russian Federation, and the Russian city of Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
To repel the air attack, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force, mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, and electronic warfare equipment were utilized.
It’s worth noting that the movement of enemy UAVs was also detected in Kyiv region during the night.
