According to preliminary information provided by the head of the Dnipro Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, Russians attacked Kryvyi Rih with an X-59 guided missile.
Olha Honchar, the editor-in-chief of the Expert-KR news agency, reported on Hromadske Radio:
«Based on the information available, there were three hits, with two of them striking high-rise buildings in different districts of Kryvyi Rih. The shelling resulted in approximately 43 people being injured, including 12 children, and four fatalities. Some of the injured children, including two infants under one year old, are in serious condition and are currently hospitalized».
Honchar stated that, according to preliminary information, the attack involved an X-59 missile. As of now, around 400 apartments have suffered varying degrees of damage and destruction. A headquarters to distribute necessary building materials have established in the city.
«Some apartments are not accessible due to pending inspections. Officials acknowledge the professionalism and dedication of the State Emergency Service, which played a crucial role in rescuing nine people from the rubble», – Gonchar added.
As a reminder, a woman injured in the attack succumbed to her injuries at a hospital in Kryvyi Rih, which was targeted by Russians on March 12. The death toll from the missile attack has now reached four people.
On the evening of March 12, occupiers launched a missile attack on Kryvyi Rih, recording at least three hits in the city. One of them struck a nine-storey building, resulting in the deaths of three people – two women and one man. Approximately 40 other individuals were reported injured, including 10 children.
Help centers have been temporarily opened in two districts of Kryvyi Rih, where people can apply for resettlement and receive building materials.
