Missile Strike on Mykolaiv: Authorities Clarify Data on Consequences and Number of Victims

Following a rocket attack by Russian occupiers on Mykolaiv on March 17, one person was killed and nine others were wounded.

This was confirmed on the morning of March 18 by Vitaliy Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

«In the afternoon of March 17, at 13:55 and 14:07, the enemy targeted an infrastructure facility in Mykolaiv with ballistic missiles, firing two missiles, likely Iskander-M, from the temporarily occupied Crimea. One person was killed in the hospital as a result of the missile attack, and nine others, including two children, sustained injuries. The injured are receiving all necessary medical care», — he stated.

According to Kim, private and apartment buildings, as well as civilian cars, suffered damage in the city. Sections of the outdoor lighting network, part of the tram tracks, and overhead power lines were also destroyed. Restoration efforts are currently underway.

Additionally, Kim noted that on the same day at 11:39 a.m., hostile artillery shelling was recorded in the waters of the Ochakiv community in Mykolaiv district.

On March 17, Russian occupants launched a missile attack on Mykolaiv in the afternoon. Initial reports indicated destruction and five injured individuals. However, it was later confirmed that one person succumbed to injuries in the hospital, raising the total number of victims to six, including one child.
