Canada is poised to allocate CAD 1.6 billion (approximately USD 1.2 billion) for various lethal and non-lethal military assistance programs to Ukraine over the next five years, as outlined in the draft state budget submitted to the country’s parliament.

The state budget highlights Canada’s ongoing support for Ukraine, noting that since the onset of the conflict, Canada has pledged more than CAD 4 billion (about USD 3 billion) in military assistance, contributing to a total support package exceeding CAD 14 billion (over USD 10.7 billion) since February 2022.
It was previously announced that Canada will initiate the transfer of 450 SkyRanger multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicles to Ukraine starting this summer.
