Spokesperson for the Ukrainian Air Force: Russians attacked Odesa with Iskander missiles

According to preliminary reports, Odesa was targeted by Russian forces with three Iskander missiles, which are currently being identified for their type. Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties.

Ilya Yevlash, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian Air Force, shared this information on Hromadske Radio.

Yevlash stated that the enemy attempted an aerial assault, primarily targeting civilian and critical infrastructure. He mentioned that a total of eight missiles were launched, comprising four of the S-300 type and four of an unidentified type. However, the specifics are still under investigation. Additionally, two missiles were fired at Kharkiv, targeting civilian infrastructure, and another S-300 missile was launched at the Kharkiv region, also impacting civilian and critical infrastructure. Furthermore, missiles of an unidentified type were launched from the occupied area of Donetsk region, targeting objects in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.

«According to preliminary information—details are still being confirmed—three Iskander missiles were employed by the enemy to strike civilian infrastructure. Initial reports indicate no casualties», – he further indicated

«The attack on Odesa involved Iskander missiles. Specialists are currently at the scene, conducting examinations of the wreckage», – remarked the Ukrainian Air Force spokesperson.

According to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the missile strike on Odesa occurred at 7 am local time. One woman, aged 43, was reported injured and is in moderate condition after being transported to the hospital.

«Approximately 30 houses suffered damage from the shock wave, with shattered windows and glass, and in some cases, collapsed ceilings. All relevant services are actively engaged at the scene. Law enforcement personnel are documenting the aftermath of yet another Russian aggression», – Kiper stated.
