The situation at the front near Lukianivka and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region remains challenging but under control. In some areas, the Defence Forces conducted maneuvers to prevent losses.
Nazar Voloshyn, spokesman for the Khortytsia operational-strategic group, made this statement on May 15.
«In the Khortytsia operational and strategic grouping of troops within the area of our responsibility, the situation on the eastern front remains tense, but the defence forces are actively engaged in defensive battles. Attempts by the Russian occupiers to breach our defenses have been halted. The situation has been stabilized, particularly in the Kharkiv sector», — Voloshyn said during the telethon.
He emphasized that «the operational situation is dynamically evolving, with fierce defensive battles ongoing,» as reported by Ukrinform.
«There are settlements across a significant portion of our border area where the enemy is attempting to establish a foothold and utilize them for further advancement. Over the past day, our soldiers repelled 11 enemy attacks, notably in localities such as Hlyboke, Lyptsi, Lukianivka, Borysivka, Neskuchne, and Vovchansk», — the spokesman stated.
According to him, fighting continues in Lukianivka and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region. The occupiers are striving to gain tactical advantages in areas where they are attempting to establish themselves in favorable positions, but the Defence Forces are counterattacking, utilizing artillery and UAV units.
Voloshyn also mentioned that maneuvers were conducted in certain areas near Lukianets and Vovchansk to safeguard the lives of Ukrainian soldiers and prevent casualties. The enemy remains under constant fire control.
