Farewell ceremony for military photographer Arsen Fedosenko to be held in Kyiv on June 13

The funeral for military photographer Arsen Fedosenko, who was recently killed in Kharkiv Region as a result of a severe injury from a bomb hit, will be held in the capital on Thursday, June 13.

This was reported by his wife, Anna Kyriy.

«The funeral and farewell service will be held on Thursday, June 13, at 12:00 in St. Michael’s Cathedral. At 14:00, the burial with military honors will begin at the Baikove cemetery. At 16:00, we invite all of you to honor Arsen’s memory and love for life and share with us a tribute to the Ukrainian wine that he cherished, popularized, and loved for many years.

The memorial service will take place on the banks of the Dnipro River in Kyiv. For safety reasons, the specific location will be announced at the cemetery. A shuttle service will be organized from St. Michael’s Cathedral to the Baikove cemetery and then to the place of the memorial service», – she said.

According to her, Fedosenko mobilized in March 2022.

«We stood in line together for two weeks at the Pechersk military registration and enlistment office in the March cold. He knew exactly where he had to be in the most difficult time for the country. He did not shift responsibility to anyone. He had a value, fought for it, and defended it. Quietly, confidently, independently, with dignity. Ukraine and being Ukrainian were the highest values for him», – Kyriy said.

Kyrii informed that she believed until the last that their love could miraculously bring about his recovery, «but the injury was too severe. And this is the only challenge we could not cope with…».

She thanked every media outlet and every person who wrote beautiful words about her husband.

«Write more. Please do. He would have been very happy about it. And your words about him support me a lot. I want as many people as possible to know Arsen», – the photographer’s wife wrote.
