Kyiv shelling: at night rescuers found the body of a boy, 27 dead in total

On the morning of July 9, the State Emergency Service provided an update on the previous day’s shelling. As of this morning, the death toll in Kyiv stands at 27.

The body of a boy was discovered during the nighttime rubble removal in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city.

«As a result of yesterday’s hostile attack in Kyiv, 27 people were killed, including 4 children, 117 were injured, and 7 people were rescued. The response is still ongoing at 3 locations. A total of 377 rescuers and 76 units of SES equipment are engaged at the scene», — the rescuers reported.

As a reminder, today, July 9, has been declared a day of mourning.

Additionally, the UN Security Council will hold a meeting today regarding the Russian shelling of the Okhmatdyt hospital in Kyiv.
