Russians attack Antonivka, one person dead

Russian shelling of the Kherson suburb of Antonivka resulted in one death and at least six injuries.

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration:

«Russian troops attacked Antonivka. So far, we know of six injured local residents. Unfortunately, one person has died. Relevant services are currently working at the scene to identify the deceased,» the statement said.

The administration noted that men aged 53, 48, and 27, along with a 42-year-old woman, were taken to the hospital.

The victims suffered explosive injuries, concussions, and shrapnel wounds. They are under medical supervision. Paramedics also treated a 46-year-old woman at the scene.

Earlier that day, Russian troops shelled a shop in Antonivka. A 48-year-old man was brought to the hospital by ambulance with an explosive injury and an amputated lower leg.

According to the administration, the building was severely damaged by enemy artillery.

Russian troops continue shelling civilians

Russian forces continue to terrorize Ukraine’s civilian population, regularly shelling residential areas with various types of weaponry.

On October 8 , a couple was killed in Sumy Oblast following a Russian air strike on civilian infrastructure in a border community.

On October 5, two civilians were killed in Zaporizhzhia Region after Russian forces shelled the village of Mala Tokmachka.

On the same day, after 10 a.m., Russian troops shelled the city of Kramatorsk in Donetsk Region using guided aerial bombs. On 25 September, shelling in Kramatorsk killed two civilians and injured more than 20 people. On 22 September, the city was hit by Tornado-S multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), wounding a child. The next day, 23 September, Kramatorsk was shelled again, with six explosions occurring around noon, resulting in at least one death and damage to eight private homes.

Additionally, on the night of October 5, Russian forces fired 18 times at border areas and settlements in Sumy Region. 21 explosions were recorded. During the night and morning of October 4, they fired 14 times, leading to 28 explosions.

On October 3, Russian forces dropped guided aerial bombs on Kharkiv, one of which struck a high-rise building, resulting in 10 casualties, including a three-year-old girl.

On September 28, a Supreme Court judge was killed in a drone attack on a civilian car in Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv Region. The judge had been delivering humanitarian aid to local residents.
