Austrian company AMIC ENERGY has expanded its network with nine new petrol stations in Poland. AMIC Polska recently signed an agreement to acquire the Lux-Motor Oil chain. Also last week, the first station in the new AMIC BOX format was opened on a franchise basis in Poland. In addition, modernization work has begun to open three new Sbarro locations and another Subway restaurant at the filling stations in Poland.
The Polish Office for the Protection of Competition and Consumer Rights has granted AMIC ENERGY permission to acquire nine Lux-Motor Oil filling stations in the Masovian Voivodeship. The network will include stations in Pultusk, Przewodów, Sierkowo, Sąsk, Ploniawy Bramura, Zielona, Zastawe, Sadykeż and Chodkowo-Kuhny. These stations have been operating for more than 20 years, providing fuel to companies and private customers and ensuring a high level of service.
‘Both companies share the same standards of quality and service. The integration will allow us not only to expand our presence in Masovia, but also to introduce big brand standards and new innovative solutions that will improve the service for local customers,’ said Krzysztof Strzelecki, Chairman of the Management Board of AMIC Polska. The stations offer diesel, 95 petrol and LPG. The rebranding is scheduled for the end of the year.
Last week, the 119th AMIC ENERGY filling station was opened in Gabryelin, located south of Warsaw. This is the third franchise station in the network and the first in the new AMIC BOX format — a compact retail container that meets all AMIC market standards. Due to its small size and modular design, the container can be installed almost anywhere, even on a small plot of land. This solution opens up new opportunities for connecting smaller stations to the AMIC ENERGY network.
AMIC ENERGY plans to open three new Sbarro pizzerias at its stations. The first pizzeria will be opened at the station on Polczynska Street in Warsaw, as well as in Wrocław and Brzeźnica near Poznan. The latter will be the first drive-thru pizzeria in Poland. The number of Sbarro pizzerias at AMIC ENERGY stations will increase from five to eight. Another Subway restaurant at the station in Leszna is also planned to open. The modernization has already begun and the first outlets will open by the end of the year.
