Anatoly Shkriblyak, president of Budhouse Group, reports a significant increase in attendance at shopping and entertainment centers in the second half of October 2024, which occurred against the background of a sharp cold snap.
The change in weather conditions affected the behavior of consumers, because as the temperature drops, the activity in shopping malls increases.
«The season shifted somewhat, and the cold came later than we are used to. However, it gave us the opportunity to observe an increase in attendance, which is a positive signal for the commercial real estate market,» said Anatoly Shkriblyak.
Additionally, in September 2024, despite an overall downward trend in attendance, the Retail Sentiment Index (RWBI) increased by 0.2 points to 29.6. This testifies to the stability of the market in conditions of unpredictable changes, because the occupancy of shopping centers and rental rates for vacant spaces also showed positive dynamics.
The RWBI index, developed by the Ukrainian Council of Shopping Centers, is an important tool for tracking the state of the market, which allows you to assess the health of retail by key indicators such as attendance and vacancy.
Despite difficult times for the economy, Budhouse Group continues to focus on improving its projects and adapting to changes in the market situation. The company is working on the restoration of its malls and the implementation of new projects, taking into account the needs of the market and consumers.
