Lawyer Serhiy Vilkul and psychologist Marharyta Kamenetska quoted various situations how, for instance, adhering to a pro-Ukrainian stand on the occidental territory and open condemnation of of Ukrainian authorities’ actions on the territory they control. As a lawyer, Serhiy Vilkul explained that expressions like «the state is doing something wrong» are not punishable by law, and that people who were forced to find themselves in the territory under occupation authorities do not bear criminal responsibility for this.
The psychologist emphasized that such people’s task is to survive, to provide for their basic needs, and to understand that even in a most complicated situation every person has people who think likewise.
