russian occupiers concentrating on fuel storage facilities to create humanitarian crisis in Ukraine – General Staff of the Armed Forces

Russian occupiers continue to launch missile and carry out bomb strikes in an attempt to completely destroy critical infrastructure and residential areas. They are concentrating on fuel storage facilities to complicate logistical support for Ukrainians and potentially create conditions resulting in a humanitarian crisis.

This information was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

The Armed Forces are currently holding off Russian troops on multiple fronts, preventing them from advancing. In some areas Ukrainian troops are carrying out successful counterattacks.

“They aren’t doing very well on the ground, realizing that their only advantage is long-range rocket fire, they start firing at oil depots and food warehouses,» Interior Minister Vadym Denysenko said during a televised interview.

He added that the occupiers want to worsen the economic situation in Ukraine and try to sow panic in relatively quiet regions.

In violation of international humanitarian law Russian troops continue to terrorize the local population in the occupied territories: shelling homes, looting, kidnapping and taking civilians hostage, marauding.

In the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the Ukrainians fought off 7 enemy attacks: destroying 12 tanks, 10 infantry fighting vehicles and three cars. The occupiers also suffered casualties.

On March 26, the Russians fired rockets at the Lviv oil depot and one of the city’s plants.

On March 27, an oil depot in Volyn was hit by a missile.
