On the morning of January 8, Russian occupiers launched a combined attack with cruise and ballistic missiles at Zaporizhzhia.
This was reported by Andriy Vavilov, a correspondent from Zaporizhzhia, on Hromadske Radio:
«In the morning, a combined attack with cruise and ballistic missiles was launched at the regional center. We observed five impacts within the city limits. Reports indicate that missiles struck residential areas. The Zaporizhzhia Military Command specifies that the enemy missiles hit open areas and locations near houses. Fortunately, there were no direct hits on residential buildings.»
Vavilov mentioned that as of 8 a.m., there are two casualties, and all relevant services are actively working at the strike site.
«Last night, public transport faced issues due to icing on the contact networks of trams and trolleybuses. However, by this morning, these problems have been resolved as utility workers were working throughout the night and morning», — the journalist stated.
Yuriy Malashko, head of the Zaporizhzhya Military District Administration, reported an increase in the number of people injured in Zaporizhzhya as a result of the enemy’s missile attack to four.
«As of now, the number of victims has increased to four people», — he stated in a release.
As a reminder, on the night of January 8 and in the morning, Russian occupiers carried out another air attack on Ukraine, utilizing attack drones and missiles.
