Ukraine will receive 12 French Caesar self-propelled guns

Ukraine will receive 12 Caesar self-propelled artillery guns from the French-German enterprise KNDS.

This was announced by French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu.

«Increasing the production capacity of our defense industry enables us to support Ukraine», — the minister stated.

Previously, the French-German defense concern KNDS, which manufactures Leopard tanks and Caesar howitzers, opened a branch in Kyiv.

«KNDS has launched a subsidiary in Kyiv under the name KNDS Ukraine LLC to support cooperation between Ukrainian state institutions, Ukraine’s defense industry, and KNDS.»

This subsidiary was established to provide maintenance, repair, and overhaul of KNDS weapons, including Leopard 1 and Leopard 2 tanks, Caesar artillery systems, AMX-10 RC, PzH 2000, and Gepard anti-aircraft guns.

About the Caesar Self-Propelled Gun

The Caesar is a French 155-mm self-propelled artillery system designed to neutralize enemy personnel, artillery batteries, and fortified positions, as well as to create openings in minefields and field barriers.

It can hit targets up to 42 kilometers away and is capable of firing up to six rounds per minute.

It’s also worth recalling that the Czechoslovak Group, in partnership with «Ukrainian Armored Vehicles,» will produce 155-millimeter artillery ammunition in Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of the Czechoslovak Group.

The group will collaborate with the Ukrainian manufacturer to develop and launch the production of 155-mm artillery shells in Ukraine. Production is set to begin next year.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian Defence Forces have fired ATACMS ballistic missiles at a Russian Nebo-M radar station. It is capable of detecting and intercepting airborne targets.
