The industrial and technological group Czechoslovak Group, in partnership with «Ukrainian Armored Vehicles,» will produce 155-millimeter artillery ammunition in Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of Czechoslovak Group.

«The Czechoslovak Group (CSG) will collaborate with the Ukrainian arms manufacturer «Ukrainian Armored Vehicles» to produce 155-millimeter artillery ammunition in Ukraine,» the statement said.

This agreement was among several signed by the companies on October 2 during the International Defense Industry Forum in Kyiv.

Under the agreement, the Czech company will provide the Ukrainian manufacturer with the necessary development and support. This is aimed at launching the production of 155 mm artillery shells directly in Ukraine. Production is set to begin next year.

It is noted that by 2025, they plan to produce 100,000 shells, and by 2026, production is expected to exceed 300,000. Manufacturing will take place in both countries to expedite the process and reduce the cost of the shells.

Several types of large-caliber ammunition will be produced, but the exact location of the production sites will not be disclosed for security reasons.

About Czechoslovak Group

Czechoslovak Group is an industrial and technological group owned by a Czech entrepreneur. The group operates key production facilities in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, Italy, India, the UK, and the USA, and exports its products worldwide. In 2023, the group’s consolidated sales reached 1.73 billion euros.

The group has been assisting Ukraine since 2018, supplying self-propelled howitzers and infantry fighting vehicles. After the 2022 invasion, it also provided tanks and air defense systems, joining a Czech initiative to procure ammunition for Ukraine.

It is worth noting that the governments of Ukraine and the Czech Republic previously signed two agreements on joint weapons production, as announced by Denys Shmyhal, the Prime Minister of Ukraine. One of these agreements involves building a new cartridge plant in Ukraine, a collaboration between Sellier & Bellot and Ukroboronservice.
