Психолог или психиатр: как сберечь психическое здоровье

The guests of the broadcast are the manager of the re-addressing direction of the CETA psychological support program, consulting psychologist, Oksana Savytska, and psychologist Yuliya Zaharnytska, CETA program consultant.The broadcast’ guests drew the line of distinguishing a psychologist from a psychiatrist. A psychologist helps people meet themselves, look at the problem from aside, assess it from outside. Then, it would be easier for a person to find a way out of a situation. A psychiatrist, on the other hand, works where a psychologist cannot help, when there are some medical problems, when there is something impossible to cope with with talking, there were medicinal help or qualified diagnosing is necessary.

Apart from this, packages by Valentyna Troyan and Andriy Kobaliya were part of the broadcast. Diana, who spoke in the first package, had undergone a course of therapy along the lines of CETA PROGRAM; she shared her impressions of the course. Andriy Kobaliya gathered Ukrainians’ ideas on psychologists and got to know whether people realize what distinguishes psychologists from psychiatrists.
