How to avoid conflicts when you talk to relatives who do not share your political views? Recommendations were provided by Volodymyr Zhernovy, psychologist and master coach. He is from Crimea, and left the peninsula in 2014, with his family.

Psychologist Maryna Brahina, a resettle refugees from the Donbas, told that she had to leave her parents on the uncontrolled territory of the Donbas. As a psychologist, she understands their feelings but it is difficult for her, as a daughter, to live through this parting and offenses from her parents.

Both psychologists emphasized: if you can’t reach understanding within your family, it is better to agree which topics to talk about and which to refrain from. It is also important to remember that you do not talk to a political opponent but to your kin.
