Death toll from December 29 missile strike in Kyiv rises

Forensic investigators have discovered two additional casualties from the Russian occupation army’s assault on Kyiv on December 29, bringing the total number of victims to 32.

This was reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration.

«As of 7 a.m. on January 4, according to the investigation, the total number of casualties resulting from the enemy missile attack on December 29 is 32, with an additional 30 people reported injured», — the administration said.

As a reminder, during the night and morning of December 29th, Russian troops targeted Ukraine with a barrage of missiles and drones. In total, the occupiers launched 158 missiles and drones, out of which 114 were successfully intercepted and destroyed by the Ukrainian military. Incidents were reported in Kyiv and several other regions.

On January 1st, Kyiv declared a day of mourning to honor the victims of the shelling. Mayor Vitali Klitschko emphasized that the attack on the capital on December 29th resulted in the highest number of civilian casualties.
