Guerrillas have acquired information regarding the number of Russian troops in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

This was reported by  the National Resistance Center of Ukraine

According to data provided by the Ukrainian underground, Rosgvardia soldiers are actively involved in suppressing civilian resistance in the rear. They conduct filtration measures among the civilian population and identify members of the underground movement.

«As of January 2024, Russia has deployed approximately 35,000 Rosgvarde soldiers in the occupied territories. Among them, half belong to regular formations, organized into a brigade, 5 battalion tactical groups, and 44 tactical groups», – stated the National Resistance Center.

The guerrillas further revealed that Russian occupation authorities are rotating more than 100 consolidated units, consisting of riot police and Special Rapid Response Unit (SRRU) officers, to Ukraine. These units are instrumental in utilizing heavy military equipment to suppress civilian resistance in the occupied territories.

«In addition to service vehicles and armored personnel carriers, these units are equipped with tanks, artillery systems, and helicopters. They employ this array of weapons to subdue those who disagree with the Russian occupation», – the Centre mentioned.

According to the guerrillas, these units were deployed to guard «polling stations» during the pseudo-referendum in September 2022 and the pseudo-elections in September 2023 in the occupied territories.

«The Rosgvardia is expected to be the primary instrument of pressure on the civilian population in preparation for the presidential elections scheduled for March 2024», – added the NRC.
