Occupants in Mariupol are attempting to heat high-rise buildings using «mobile boilers»

In Mariupol, residents are facing significant challenges with heating in multi-story buildings. Russian occupiers are attempting to address this issue by using «mobile boilers» but these solutions often fall short of meeting residents’ needs.

This was reported by Hromadske Radio correspondent Ivan Stanislavsky.

He highlighted that while the private sector largely relies on individual heating methods, multi-story buildings are experiencing serious problems.

«Complaints are frequent from residents of the 23rd microdistrict. Just yesterday, there was a report about a malfunctioning boiler that serves several dozen high-rise buildings. The reasons for the breakdown are undisclosed. Similar situations may arise in other neighborhoods lacking autonomous heating, such as the Zakhidnyi neighborhood», — Stanislavsky explained.

He noted that five-story buildings in Mariupol often resort to ‘autonomous methods’ involving mobile boilers with generators, but their limited availability has a minimal impact on the overall heating situation. Additionally, the operational principles of these boilers remain unclear.

The correspondent pointed out that, to some extent, the private sector enjoys better heating conditions than multi-story buildings. However, this does not hold true for the private sector in the center of Mariupol, where destruction is widespread. The same applies to buildings near the plant, including Azovstal.

Earlier reports indicated that Russian occupiers halted the construction of a railroad near Mariupol.
