French President Emmanuel Macron has announced plans to supply Ukraine with a new batch of approximately 40 SCALP long-range cruise missiles and «several hundred» bombs.
This announcement was made during a press conference reported by Reuters.
Macron also revealed his intention to visit Ukraine in February to conclude a bilateral agreement on security guarantees. In the upcoming weeks, France will present Ukraine with a new security assistance package. Regarding the provision of 40 new long-range SCALP missiles and an unspecified number of bombs to Ukraine, Macron stated:
«With these deliveries, I will go to Ukraine myself in February and finalize these texts».
He further emphasized that France and the European Union «will have to make new decisions in the coming weeks and months to prevent Russia from prevailing».
