On January 24, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal met with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in Uzhhorod.

The Ukrainian Prime Minister announced the meeting on Telegram.

«Today in Uzhhorod, we are meeting with the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico. The agenda includes discussions on our bilateral relations and support for European initiatives», — Shmyhal wrote.

He expressed hope for a «constructive and practical dialogue«.

As a reminder, on January 20, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, before his meeting with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, expressed his opposition to Ukraine’s accession to NATO. He pledged to bring with him humanitarian aid to Uzhhorod and reiterated that Slovakia would not supply weapons to Ukraine at the state level.

Shmyhal announced his intention to engage in talks with his Slovak counterpart to address potential obstacles to the implementation of the Ukraine Facility program.
