The recent assault on Kharkiv marked the most extensive attack on the city since the commencement of the full-scale invasion in 2022, involving approximately 15 missiles of the S-300, X-22, and Iskander types.

This was reported by Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

«The attacks unfolded in three stages: the first at four in the morning, followed by shelling at 7 am, and a third attack in the evening. Our ongoing efforts involve clearing the debris, especially in areas where the invaders targeted residential and high-rise buildings», — stated Syniehubov.

The strikes resulted in over 70 injuries and 10 fatalities. Rescue operations are actively underway at the impact sites. Presently, 25 individuals are hospitalized in the city, with two women in serious condition and one child in moderate condition.

As a reminder, on the morning of January 23, the Russian occupation army initiated missile attacks on various Ukrainian locations, including Kyiv, Pavlohrad, and Kharkiv. Emergency rescue operations have concluded in Kyiv, with 22 people injured, including 4 children. In Kharkiv, the aftermath of two successive Russian attacks has left 70 injured and 10 dead, including a child. The search and rescue operation in Kharkiv is ongoing. In Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovs’k region, damage was inflicted on four schools, a rehabilitation center, a sports complex, and a cultural institution. Additionally, 15 high-rise buildings and a car were affected, resulting in one fatality, a woman, due to the attack.
