Over the previous year, 856 children were evacuated from Donetsk region

During the previous year, 856 children from 43 settlements in Donetsk Oblast have been evacuated.

Yanina Levutina, a correspondent from Donetsk region, reported this on Hromadske Radio:

«The compelled evacuation represents an ongoing initiative by Ukrainian authorities, initiated in April of the preceding year. Children were relocated from 43 settlements – a considerable number, considering the total of 856 children compulsorily evacuated. The evacuation involves one of the parents accompanying the children, and they are unable to decline this decision».

As a reminder, on January 6-7, 20 children and 10 individuals with limited mobility were evacuated from the frontline areas of Donetsk Oblast.
