Ukrposhta JSC is in the process of restoring its IT systems following a significant technical failure, with payment acceptance already reinstated at 96%.

This was reported by Ukrposhta’s press service on Facebook.

«We are currently addressing a substantial technical failure in our IT systems. Our specialists are actively working to resolve the issue and fully restore operations, but this may take some time», – the statement explained.

The company’s branches are presently able to issue parcels and accept payments. However, the resumption of other services will be implemented at a later stage.

Ukrposhta CEO Igor Smelyansky attributed the disruptions in operations to an attack on the information infrastructure of their partners.

«This is the cause of the disruptions in our operations. We have already restored payment acceptance nationwide (96%), including the personal account and API», – Smelyansky noted.

He cautioned that there might be minor delays in parcel deliveries.

Additionally, Ukrtransbezpeka reported that, due to a technical failure at the data center, access to the Shlyakh system and the official website of Ukrtransbezpeka is temporarily unavailable. The system is expected to resume operation in the near future.

As a reminder, the gas supply company Naftogaz of Ukraine and Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine LLC recently experienced a large-scale attack on one of their data centers.
