Air attack on Ukraine: Air defense forces successfully shoot down 44 out of 64 targets

The Air Defense Forces successfully destroyed 44 air targets during an enemy attack on the night and morning of February 7. The occupiers utilized 64 means of air attack.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is noted that at the beginning of the day, the enemy conducted multiple strikes on Ukraine’s territory, deploying various means of air attack, including attack UAVs, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and anti-aircraft guided missiles.

The occupiers employed the following 64 means of air attack:

  • 20 Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs (Chouda – Crimea)
  • 29 X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles from 10 Tu-95MS strategic aviation aircraft (launched from Engels, Caspian Sea)
  • 4 X-22 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 bombers (launch area – Sevastopol, Kursk)
  • 3 «Kalibr» sea-launched cruise missiles from carriers in the Black Sea (launch area – Novorossiysk)
  • 3 «Iskander-M» ballistic missiles (launched from Cape Tarkhankut – Crimea, Voronezh region – Russian Federation)
  • 5 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles (launch area – Belgorod region – Russian Federation)

As a result of the Air Force and Defense Forces’ combat operations, 44 air targets were destroyed, including:

  • 26 X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles
  • 3 Kalibr cruise missiles
  • 15 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs

To repel the air attack, anti-aircraft missile troops, fighter aircraft of the Air Force, units of mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, and electronic warfare equipment were utilized.

It was reported that Russian occupiers carried out a massive attack on Ukraine on the morning of February 7, resulting in destruction and injuries in several regions. Specifically, more than 10 people were injured in Kyiv, and at least one person was killed in Mykolaiv.
