The US Senate overwhelmingly voted in favor of a comprehensive bill providing $60 billion in support for Ukraine, with 70 senators endorsing the document. The live stream indicated that 29 senators cast their votes against it.

This comprehensive bill combines financial assistance for Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan, and humanitarian aid, totaling more than $95 billion. Notably, the bill excludes the part addressing the sensitive issue of the southern border, as the initial draft faced opposition from Republicans.

In a prior development, the US Senate had successfully passed a motion to end debate on the bill, which seeks to allocate more than $95 billion in aid to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. On February 11, the Senate cleared the last procedural hurdle, bringing the final vote on the aid bill for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan closer to fruition.

Former President Donald Trump had earlier urged Congress to refrain from providing aid to other countries. He emphasized that America should not offer support without demanding future reimbursement of these funds.
