The maternity hospital bore the brunt of the attack in Selydove (PHOTOS)

In Selydove, Donetsk region, the primary target of Russian missiles was the maternity wing of a local hospital.

This was reported by Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.

On the night of February 14, the enemy launched an assault on a medical facility and a residential building in Selydove. The attack resulted in the tragic deaths of three individuals, including a child and a pregnant woman, while 12 others sustained injuries, including four children.

«The invaders targeted the hospital around 1 AM, with the main impact directed at the maternity wing. At the time, nearly 200 people were in the hospital, with dozens in critical condition. They were promptly evacuated to other medical institutions in the region», — informed the minister.

Rescuers successfully saved a six-month-old baby, and six individuals, including a child, were injured. The bodies of three victims, including a child born in 2015, were recovered from the rubble.

Additionally, the Russian military struck a five-storey residential building, causing the complete destruction of an entire entrance. One person was rescued from the debris, and six others were injured, including three children born in 2007, 2011, and 2016, according to Klymenko.

Vadym Filashkin, the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, disclosed that the Russians fired four missiles at Selydove.
