Ukraine and Germany have officially signed a security agreement

Ukraine and Germany have officially signed a bilateral security agreement.

This was announced by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on February 16th.

«Today, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and I took a historic step by signing an agreement on our long-term security commitments – Germany’s ongoing support for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s war of aggression. Glory to Ukraine», — Scholz stated.

Following the United Kingdom, Germany is now the second country to enter into security guarantees with Ukraine.

As a reminder, on February 16th, Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Germany, and he is also scheduled to visit France.
