Approximately 800 civilians in Chasiv Yar have chosen to remain in the basements, refusing evacuation. This information was provided by Yanina Lvutina, a correspondent for Hromadske Radio:

«In the civilian sector, around 800 people are sheltering in the basements of Chasovyi Yar, opting not to evacuate. Their reasons vary; some find no purpose in leaving, while others simply prefer staying in their locality».

Lvutina also mentioned that the «Point of Invincibility» is still operational in Chasovyi Yar, providing a space for people to charge their devices, stay updated on the news, and access medical assistance and food.

«Despite the challenging conditions, hot lunches are delivered daily to the «Point of Invincibility». A local resident is responsible for the meal deliveries, and they are prepared in Kramatorsk», – Lvutina reported.

She further noted an escalation in artillery shelling, emphasizing the difficulty of the situation in Chasovyi Yar.

«It is not only due to increased shelling but also because of the presence of numerous FPV drones. The Russians have intensified their attacks, conducting substantial assaults and deploying new forces continuously», – the correspondent added.
