The situation on the border with Belarus remains under control, and Russia currently lacks the necessary forces for a potential new invasion. No additional forces have been deployed as part of the rotation.
Andriy Demchenko, a spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service, conveyed this information on Hromadske Radio.
«The situation on the border with Belarus is fully under control, just like before. Although the direction remains potentially threatening due to Belarus’s continued support for Russia in the war, we are enhancing the border line with engineering and fortification to ensure all components of the Defence Forces are well-prepared to counter any potential threats. Importantly, Russia does not have sufficient forces within Belarus to execute any form of re-invasion. While Russia previously stationed 10-12,000 personnel there for exercises, they were later withdrawn, and no new forces have been introduced as part of any rotation», — stated Andriy Demchenko.
