Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has announced a military aid package of $247.4 million for Ukraine.

This was reported by The Guardian.

The aid includes the delivery of the first F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, with the transfer expected to take place this summer, according to Denmark’s Defence Ministry.

In her statement, Prime Minister Frederiksen emphasized the importance of actions on the battlefield, stating:

«Time does not help Ukraine, only actions are important on the battlefield. Ukraine’s struggle for freedom is our struggle».

This announcement follows New Zealand’s commitment to donate more than $16 million to Ukraine as part of a new aid package, including ongoing military training support until June 2025.
