Occupants have the capability to launch more than 20 guided aerial bombs per day in Orikhiv — Lyshenko
In the Zaporizhzhia sector, occupants have escalated the frequency of air strikes. The Russian forces now possess the capacity to launch more than 20 guided aerial bombs at Orikhiv alone each day.
This information was conveyed by Serhiy Lyshenko, a deputy of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council and a volunteer, during an interview on Hromadske Radio.
Lyshenko described the current situation at the front as tense and complicated, highlighting a shift in enemy tactics. Previously, the Russians focused on targeting logistics, access roads, and surrounding villages with artillery to weaken defenders and hinder their ability to hold their ground against subsequent rolling attacks, which used to number between 10 and 13. However, the enemy has now recognized the futility of this tactic.
«Now the enemy has increased the number of air strikes. Constant bombardment with KABs and other bombs indicates their attempt to obliterate defense lines and borders, flattening the positions of the defenders to pave the way for entry into the cleared territory. The use of these bombs has surged, to the extent that while a few months ago, there were 3-4 bombings along the contact line in the Orikhiv and Robotyno areas per day, the number has skyrocketed to 22 KABs used only in Orikhiv», – Lyshenko explained
As a reminder, Russian troops carried out 200 attacks on the Zaporizhzhia region yesterday, resulting in one fatality and one injury.
