In Crimea, maritime drones targeted the Russian patrol ship of Project 22160, known as «Sergei Kotov». resulting in its destruction.
This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine.
Launched in 2021, the vessel is equipped with powerful radar systems and some air defense capabilities, enabling it to function as a mobile air defense or radar platform. It has been instrumental in safeguarding vital ships and facilities, including the Crimean Bridge.
The Main Directorate of Intelligence estimated the value of the sunken ship at approximately $65 million.
It’s worth noting that on February 14, the DIU announced the destruction of the Russian large amphibious assault ship Caesar Kunikov near Alupka using Magura V5 strike drones.
