The occupants are increasingly wiretapping private conversations of residents in the temporarily occupied territories — resistance

In the temporarily occupied territories, Russian invaders have prohibited personnel from engaging with locals unless it’s required by their official duties. Furthermore, they have intensified wiretapping of residents in these areas.

This was reported by the National Resistance Centre.

«The decision stems from the substantial amount of information locals share with the Defence Forces, leading to increased distrust from the occupiers towards the residents. Consequently, all units stationed in the temporarily occupied territories have been instructed to avoid interactions with civilians», — the statement disclosed.

Additionally, according to the National Resistance Centre, Russians have escalated the deployment of equipment for eavesdropping on private conversations of local residents in the temporarily occupied territories.

The resistance has observed this to encompass both street surveillance equipment (such as recording devices in establishments and at bus stops) and phone call interception. The latter is conducted either automatically using keywords or manually in cases involving «disloyal residents».
