Hromadske Radio correspondent Anna Chernenko reported that 7,023 residents have already been evacuated from the border settlements of the Kharkiv region.

«Now even those people who have never left for two years are leaving. In particular, people who survived russian captivity are leaving. Currently, we have a figure of 7,023 people evacuated through the joint efforts of various individuals and services. Additionally, a significant number of people from surrounding villages and the city of Vovchansk left on their own, utilizing their own transport», — stated the journalist.

As a reminder, on 10 May, russian occupation forces intensified their activities in the Kharkiv region, resulting in ongoing fighting. The Ministry of Defence reported the deployment of reserve units to the north of the region, prompting regional authorities to urge residents to evacuate from areas under fire.
