The situation in the Kharkiv region near Kupyansk is difficult, with the enemy attempting to break through the Ukrainian defense from two directions.
This was stated by Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, following his visit to the Kharkiv and Kupiansk sectors.
“The situation in the area of Kupiansk is difficult. The enemy is trying to break through the defense of our troops from two directions. Fierce fighting continues. Our task is to stop the enemy and force them to go on the defense», — said Syrskyi.
Regarding Vovchansk, where the enemy launched an offensive almost a month ago, the general stated that the main task is to hold back the enemy:
“In Vovchansk, our main task at this stage is to hold back the enemy, inflict maximum losses on them, and gradually move forward to liberate our territories.»
