44% of Ukrainians believe there is unity in Ukrainian society now — poll
Forty-four percent of Ukrainians believe there is unity in Ukrainian society now. Of these, 10% say there is complete unity, while the remaining 34% are rather inclined to believe there is unity.
This is evidenced by the data from the survey «Perception of the level of social unity by Ukrainians» conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.
«At the same time, three times fewer respondents (15%) believe that Ukraine is currently experiencing disunity. Additionally, a third of Ukrainians (36%) believe that society now has elements of unity and disunity in equal measure,» the study says.
Most respondents explained the presence of elements of disunity in society by citing corruption (16%), the language issue (14%), lack of competence in the government, distrust of the government’s actions and official information (13%), injustice, as different people feel differently about the war (11%), lack of mutual understanding and mutual assistance, and an «every man for himself» attitude (9%), and the presence of collaborators and those waiting for Russia (9%).
